Questions for Reflection
Monday: Consider the Apostle Paul’s prayer for the church at Ephesus, found in 3:14-21. Take a few moments to express this prayer to God in your own words, praying for yourself and your church.
Tuesday: How is it that God is working change in your life as you grow in your love of Jesus Christ?
Wednesday: Humility, gentleness, patience, support, love — of these qualities, which needs the most development in your life? Ask God for help in your prayers.
Thursday: What does it mean to “speak the truth in love?” (as opposed to love without truth, or truth without love.)
Friday: God gives us Christian small groups (for study, service, prayer, etc.) as a means of grace; how does your small group(s) provide support and accountability for your growth as a Christian?
Saturday & Sunday: Reflect on your experience of the week, spend more time in silence and prayer, finish scripture memorization
Key Scripture Verse
“Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantlyA Wesleyan Covenant Prayer
far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in
Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
(Ephesians 3:20-21, NRSV)
I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt,
rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for
thee,
exalted for thee or brought low by thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to thy
pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.
